Sati Villa Kandy is relaxing enough that on some days you will be up for an adventure. “Let’s go see a waterfall” they said. All I had to do was to book the to and return trip with our trusted transport provider Kandy VIP Transport, asked what’s the nearest and off we went to Ramboda Falls.
Kandy VIP Transport, known for their exceptional service, they didn’t just offer transportation; they provided a tour full of awe-inspiring sights and experiences we might have missed had we ventured on our own. With their guidance, each stop along the journey became an unforgettable memory.
We stopped at the Shree Bhakta Hanuman Kovil. Never have I seen a car park with that kind of view. We were all dressed appropriately to visit a place of worship. I was told to tie my hair up in a bun or braid. A short walk up to the temple, everyone has to remove footwear and ensure feet were washed before entering the Kovil. Got up the steps barefoot, turned around and oh- breathless views once again.
Then we set off towards Ramboda falls, but ‘the experienced’ first took us to a roof of a wood craft shop, a view point, once again- you guessed it- breathless views. Pics were of us sandwiched between two waterfalls in the background- one being Ramboda falls.
Then at the foot of Ramboda falls, paid a nominal fee for the tickets (less than 1USD per person) and walked up the steep steps. Kids under the age of 7 will need some assistance up and down the steps. The force of the water means that we cannot dip in the water- so we got our feet in. We were a little breathless before getting to the stones to rest, it’s worth it, to feel only a little spray of the natural force. Water was freezing, but the toes survived and hearts and minds melted into something peaceful.
Walked down barefoot and returned to Sati Villa Kandy. Camera roll full.
